How it all started
“Once I’m skinny I’ll be happy.”

These were just some of the thoughts I had running through my mind for a decade.
My health journey started when I was a preteen and ended with me obsessing over calories and exercising 3 hours a day as an adult.
Like most women my worth was wrapped up in my appearance, so once I gained weight I had to get rid of it.
What started as an innocent diet ended with me hating my body no matter how it looked or how much weight I lost.
How I got here
Once I decided to become a holistic nutrition coach, the journey to finding food freedom was inevitable!
Finding food freedom and learning to trust my body seemed really radical at the time. I felt alone and kind of crazy at times because I knew you could be healthy and still eat the foods you love.
After so many twists and turns, I slowly started to understand how to listen to my body and get rid of the voice in my head that told me I wasn't capable of achieving food freedom.
Even though nutrition and habits are so important for living a healthy lifestyle, there is SO much more to the picture. Because of this observation, I dove deep into studying diet culture, the wellness industry, the beauty industry and and connected the dots. They all have a huge influence on health trends, the ideal body type, and our self esteem.
Once I became aware of the influences around us having a greater impac t on health than the food we eat, I new I had to switch gears by focusing on healin my relationship with food.
Through my studiues I have tested so many tools and compiled them into this program as an easy to digest, but impactful health solution.
How it’s going
I’ve healed my relationship with food and found my purpose in life.
My body, food, and weight don’t dictate how I live my life anymore.
Confidence isn’t something I need to work for or earn anymore, it’s just a part of me.
Eating healthy is actually fun and exciting and NOT restrictive.

Now, some backstory..
I battled with my relationship with food nearly my whole life. Everything from food restriction, emotional eating, and over-exercising. A dislike of my body was at the core of all of it, which started with a remark my dance teacher made when I was 12 years old, and was perpetuated by the media, health/beauty corporations, and the fitness industry.
Little did I know, it would turn into a decade-long obsession with trying to change how my body looks. When I quit dance in high school, the obsession carried straight into the gym and I spent hours every day bodybuilding and hundreds of $$ each month on supplements, never becoming satisfied with how I looked.
I was studying Dietetics at Arizona State University when I realized I was studying to become a part of the system that started my food/body obsessions in the first place.
So, I left and found my place at the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts where I started to heal my relationship with my body and food as I studied to become a holistic health coach.
I discovered the concepts of intuitive eating and food freedom, and it changed my life.
Firstly, I realized I can eat anything I want without compromising my health, because our bodies know best, if we just listen to it.
And secondly, I accepted the fact that it’s natural for our bodies to fluctuate, and learned to accept myself, no matter how my body compares to others. For the first time in a long time.. I was happy.
I realized this was something I could teach to anybody and immediately made this the core of my health coaching practice.
Because, I’m not the only one who has had these feelings and obsessions about food and body. The more I study this, the more it solidifies this is a global problem affecting millions, if not billions of women.
It’s my mission to bring intuitive eating, food freedom, and body confidence to every single woman.
